Convergence of Realities
As the ancient map unfurled beneath Zara's trembling fingers, the coffee shop around her began to shimmer and warp. Reality itself seemed to hiccup, folding in on itself like a piece of origami gone rogue. The air crackled with an electric tension, and Zara felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand at attention, as if saluting the arrival of something extraordinary.
Suddenly, the mundane and the magical collided in a spectacular display of impossibility. The espresso machine to her left began to spout equations instead of coffee, while the potted fern in the corner stretched its leaves towards dimensions unknown. Zara watched, slack-jawed, as customers morphed into creatures of myth and legend, their lattes transforming into goblets of liquid starlight. The Convergence of Realities had begun, and with it, the lines between the ordinary and the extraordinary blurred beyond recognition.
