Detailed Visualization of Key Autonomous Systems (LiDAR, Cameras, Radar)
The journey into building a state-of-the-art interactive 3D design lab for autonomous vehicles begins with a profound understanding and accurate visualization of their core sensory organs. These critical components—LiDAR, cameras, and radar—form the bedrock of perception, enabling an autonomous vehicle to comprehend its environment. Our objective is to not merely represent these sensors visually but to bring their data outputs and operational principles to life within the Solinexta platform.
LiDAR, or Light Detection and Ranging, provides a high-fidelity 3D map of the surroundings through millions of laser pulses per second. Visualizing LiDAR data in our 3D environment requires rendering vast point clouds, each point representing a precise spatial coordinate. Engineers can interactively explore these point clouds, adjusting perspectives and even filtering data based on intensity or distance.
