Handling Resin (Wear Gloves!)
Alright, let's talk about resin. Unlike the neat little spools of filament you might be used to, SLA printing involves pouring and handling liquid resin. Think of it like a sticky, slightly less pleasant version of honey, except it cures under UV light and you absolutely, positively do not want it on your skin. This is where our first, and perhaps most important, safety rule comes in: wear gloves, people!
Seriously, consider gloves your new best friends when dealing with resin. This stuff can cause skin irritation, and even if it doesn't bother you right away, repeated exposure isn't a good idea. Plus, it's incredibly difficult to get off surfaces and, more importantly, your hands once it starts to cure. Save yourself the scrubbing and potential weird rashes; just slap on those nitrile gloves before you open that bottle or touch anything near the printer.
