This first chapter offers a thoughtful, if a bit melancholic, look at dashed childhood dreams. The imagery of unfinished tapestries and snagged kites really stuck with me. The protagonist's quiet resilience feels authentic, even if the start is a little subdued. I’m curious to see how this gentle endurance translates into his adult search for love. Can't wait to see where this story goes with the blending of the mundane and the magical. I'm definitely interested in reading the rest of the book to see how things unfold. The writing style is descriptive, painting a clear picture of his past. It sets a tone that makes you wonder about the "echo" of love mentioned in the title. This first chapter really drew me in, making me want to know more about his journey. The opening sets up an intriguing premise about finding love amidst life’s disappointments.
