The Silent Witness

Synopsis

Atkins slowly walked towards the book lying on the table – the book that held all secrets. There was one chapter within the book that could potentially change the fate of the whole world. If the contents of that chapter fell into the wrong hands, the repercussions could be catastrophic. He had to hide the book before his pursuers found him. He knew what needed to be done, but time was running out… Two people stood outside the entrance to an old building. “Do you think the old man is hiding here?” asked the taller of the two. “Based on what Scott said, this must be the place. All things check out,” said the other. They entered. As they climbed the stairs to the upper floor, they noticed that one of the doors there was slightly ajar. “He must have gone in there, Bill!”, said the taller man. “We need him alive, remember. Scott would be really mad if he is dead before he gets his hands on that book. So please keep your instincts under check, Tommy”, said Bill cautiously. The two men made their way to the door and pushed it open fully. Bill let out a gasp. What they saw inside was something neither of them was expecting. Fear gripped them, and they stood there still for what felt like an eternity.
