Synopsis

Once a respected and wealthy pillar of his community, a man's life takes a catastrophic turn when his company is framed for tax evasion, leading to the seizure of all his assets. Forced to return to his estranged childhood home, he is met with cold indifference and cruel taunts from his brothers. This descent into despair fuels a devastating addiction to alcohol, transforming him into an emotionally abusive figure towards his wife and teenage son. His wife, witnessing the destruction of her family and her husband's monstrous transformation, begins to spiral into depression and seeks a divorce. His response is a torrent of hateful accusations, revealing a heart consumed by bitterness and regret. Left alone and broken, his newfound poverty amplifies his perceived injustices, leading him to spout increasingly erratic and heartbreaking pronouncements of his suffering. As his mental state deteriorates, he succumbs to drug use, ultimately collapsing from a heart attack, his final moments haunted by the specter of his lost fortune, his fractured family, and the stark contrast between his past respect and his present desolation.
