Synopsis

In the sleepy town of Sparkle Creek, something truly bizarre is happening: the town's beloved scarecrow, Bartholomew, won't stop sneezing! The town's annual Harvest Festival is just around the corner, and a sneezing scarecrow is bad for business and even worse for hay fever. Ten-year-old best friends Leo and Maya, armed with magnifying glasses and a healthy dose of silliness, decide this is a job for the Sparkle Creek Junior Detectives (which is really just them). Their investigation leads them through hay bales, suspicious-looking squirrels, and encounters with quirky townspeople, including the grumpy Mr. Fitzwilliam who only talks in riddles, and the overly enthusiastic Mayor Mildred who keeps offering them prune juice. Every clue seems to lead to more questions, and the suspects range from allergic dust bunnies to a secret society of pranksters. Can Leo and Maya uncover the truth behind Bartholomew's sneezes before the Harvest Festival is ruined?
