Synopsis

In the sprawling metropolis of Hungdua City, Dr. Aris Thorne, a brilliant but troubled forensic scientist, is called to investigate a series of increasingly bizarre murders. The crime scenes defy logical explanation, with cryptic symbols and ritualistic elements that hint at a supernatural influence. As Aris delves deeper into the investigation, he uncovers a connection between the victims and a shadowy organization known as the Hapo Society, a group rumored to dabble in occult practices. Haunted by his own past trauma and battling a relapse into addiction, Aris must confront his skepticism and consider the possibility that the killer's motives lie beyond the realm of science. Teaming up with Detective Isabella "Izzy" Harding, a seasoned detective initially dismissive of Aris's theories, they navigate the city's underbelly, uncovering a web of secrets, corruption, and ancient lore. As the body count rises, Aris and Izzy find themselves in a race against time to stop the killer, who is revealed to be David Joe Trump, a former member of the Hapo Society seeking to harness supernatural forces for their own twisted agenda. With the help of Sarah, a relative of one of the victims, who possesses knowledge of the supernatural, Aris must reconcile science and belief to defeat the killer, confront his inner demons, and save Hungdua City from a dark and terrifying fate.
