Synopsis

In this updated retelling of the Epic of Gilgamesh, set in modern times, we follow Gilgamesh, a powerful but arrogant king whose actions cause unrest among his people. The gods create Enkidu, a wild man, to challenge Gilgamesh. Their initial conflict blossoms into an unlikely friendship, prompting an epic adventure. Together, they battle the fearsome Humbaba, conquer the Bull of Heaven, and face the harsh realities of loss and mortality. Gilgamesh's journey for immortality takes him across treacherous landscapes, where he confronts his own mortality and the meaning of life.
