Synopsis

In 1890s Punjab, a land of ancient lore and burgeoning colonial influence, Father Elias Thorne, a Catholic priest haunted by a shadowed past, is dispatched by the Vatican to investigate a series of gruesome and inexplicable events. Whispers of demonic entities and creatures from local folklore plague the countryside, and the once-peaceful villages are gripped by terror. Father Elias, armed with his faith and a thirst for redemption, must venture into the heart of the unknown, where the line between good and evil blurs with each passing day. As Father Elias delves deeper into the mysteries plaguing Punjab, he finds himself torn between his faith and the undeniable reality of the supernatural. Aided by Mehrunissa, a wise and resourceful local woman, he uncovers ancient secrets and forgotten rituals that reveal the true nature of the encroaching darkness. However, their growing bond is tested by the prejudices of the British colonial authorities, personified by the cynical Inspector Davies, and the insidious influence of the Rakshasa, an ancient demonic entity seeking to plunge the region into chaos.
