The Unexpected Hero: The Secret Power Chapter 1: The Happy Family Once upon a time, there lived a little old woman and a little old man with their family. They had two sons, Alex and David, who were the breadwinners of the family. David was older than Alex, but interestingly, David (the elder brother) was smaller in size than Alex (the younger brother). David had two sons named Max and Dan, named after his grandfather and great-grandfather. Max and Dan loved playing family games and always invited others to join them. David worked at a world-famous chocolate factory that had won more than fifty awards and trophies. However, due to his heavy workload, he often couldn’t find time to play with his children. Alex worked as the manager of a courier company. He had one son, Mike, who was very lazy. The only thing Mike loved was sleeping. Whenever Max and Dan asked him to play, they always found him fast asleep in his room. One morning, Emma, the grandmother, decided to bake cookies — a favorite treat for the entire family. She wanted to surprise everyone. But can you bake cookies secretly in such a lively household? Of course not! Max and Dan smelled the cookies and ran to the kitchen. “Ahh! Oh no!” cried Emma. “Yeah!” shouted Max and Dan with excitement. Jake, the grandfather, heard the loud voices and slowly walked to the kitchen. But did he see the cookies? Not yet. Emma, just as clever as Jake, had quickly hidden the cookies in the fridge and whispered her plan to Max and Dan. However, Jake noticed two choco-chips on a plate. “What is this?” he asked. “What?” replied Emma. “These are choco-chips. Why are they here? Tell me the truth — are you making cookies for me?” Jake asked suspiciously. Emma hesitated. “Uh… Max brought chocolate and was eating here.” Jake smiled knowingly. “Don’t worry! I’ll help you.” Soon, Emma, Max, Dan, and Jake were baking cookies together. Later, David’s and Alex’s wives joined in too. That night, when Alex and David returned home, they received a delightful surprise. “These cookies are amazing!” David exclaimed. “I’ve never had such delicious cookies!” said Alex. “That’s because everyone helped make them — except you two!” Emma said joyfully. And so, the family lived happily. Moral: "Teamwork and helping each other brings happiness to a family."
