Eleven-year-old Milo stumbles upon an overgrown, forgotten garden in his quiet town, dominated by an ancient clock frozen at 12:07 AM for thirty-two years. Drawn by an irresistible curiosity, Milo ventures into the garden one night, only to find fresh bootprints. The heel of one print bears a strange three-crescent symbol. Suddenly, the clock chimes, and Milo's logical and observant friend, Maya, joins him in unraveling the garden's secrets. Their investigation leads them to a locked greenhouse, buzzing with peculiar moths. Following these luminous insects, they discover naturally bioluminescent fungi, a testament to Maya's scientific explanations of real-world phenomena. These glowing organisms guide them to a dilapidated cottage labeled 'KEEPER'S HOUSE,' where an enigmatic old man named Arun warns them away, his recognition of the three-crescent symbol confirming his knowledge of the garden's mysteries. Inside the greenhouse, Milo and Maya uncover a journal from 1979, penned by Elias Vale. It reveals Elias, Nora, and Milo's own grandfather, David, were teenage Keepers who studied the garden's unique ecosystem and discovered the non-magical, yet extraordinary, Lantern Vine.
