Synopsis

CHAPTER 1 THE FORBIDDEN ENCOUNTER Scene: Family home in Kachia. The sun is setting, casting a golden glow across the room. Chidaaagi is sitting with his father (Baba), mother (Mama), older brother Daudi, younger brother Kemi, and sister Aza. Baba: (sternly) Chidaaagi, this family has rules. We’ve told you since you were young — no girl from Liria. That state is trouble. Mama: (gently) It’s not just about tradition. You know what happened to your cousin when he married a girl from there.
