Shadows of the Ascended

Synopsis

In the sprawling martial world of Aeridor, where power dictates truth and reputation is a weapon, young Kaelen struggles to find his place. Branded an outcast due to his forbidden lineage, he is relentlessly pursued by the righteous sects who deem him a threat. Yet, Kaelen harbors a secret: a latent power and an unyielding code of honor that defy the prejudices cast upon him. His path is soon entangled with a clandestine organization known only as the Obsidian Hand, a group whispered to be the architects of chaos. However, the Hand's true motives are far more intricate than the legends suggest, and their enigmatic leader may hold the key to Kaelen's past and Aeridor's future. As Kaelen navigates a treacherous landscape of political intrigue, brutal betrayals, and devastating battles, he uncovers a conspiracy that reaches the highest echelons of power. He learns that the most devout disciples often conceal the darkest sins, while those condemned by society possess the truest forms of compassion. Forced to question everything he's been taught about justice, honor, and the thin line between good and evil, Kaelen must harness his burgeoning strength and forge his own path to retribution, not just for himself, but for all those silenced by the facade of righteousness. The world of Aeridor is about to discover that true power lies not in origin, but in the choices made in the deepest shadows.
