Synopsis

The Potato News team — Jimmy, the immortal anchor; Bob, the stoic cyborg; Flare, the fiery co-host; Fred, the teen-skeletal producer; and Finley, controlled by his robot Corder — finds their routine interrupted by a mysterious signal. This signal, displaying ancient glyphs and cosmic scenes, invites them to "Aethelgard," a lost city holding secrets of cosmic balance. Corder briefly malfunctions, making Finley dance uncontrollably. Intrigued, Jimmy leads the team on an interdimensional quest. They transform their studio into a potato-fueled, dimension-hopping vehicle. Their journey takes them through bizarre pocket dimensions, including a sentient gelatin world and a whispering library. During these escapades, Jimmy's immortality is humorously tested, Bob's robotic parts adapt to strange environments, and Flare's fire powers cause accidental chaos. Finley and Corder prove vital in navigation and communication. As they near Aethelgard, they discover they aren't alone. "The Chronos Collective," a shadowy, time-manipulating organization, also seeks Aethelgard to seize its power. The Potato News crew must outwit them, using their unique quirks and abilities. They finally reach Aethelgard, a city of ethereal light and organic architecture. It's not a power source, but a sanctuary and guardian of the universe's history. The invitation was a plea for help against the weakening threat of the Chronos Collective. The climax pits the Potato News team against the Chronos Collective within Aethelgard. Jimmy's positivity, Bob's precision, Flare's power, Fred's unexpected lore, and Finley and Corder's combined skills are all tested. They defend Aethelgard from both the Collective and the destructive energies unleashed by the antagonist scientist. With help from Aethelgard's empathetic inhabitants, the Potato News team repels the Collective, restoring the city's protective aura. They realize their "new journey" made them accidental guardians of cosmic harmony. Back in their studio, the team is changed but still eccentric. Their reports now include interdimensional "weather" and cosmic events. Finley and Corder have a deeper bond, Bob is slightly more expressive, Flare controls his flames better, and Fred occasionally smiles. Jimmy, ever ready for the next big story, knows the universe has just begun to unfold for Potato News.
