Meet Bartholomew 'Barty' Buttercup, a halfling bard whose lute skills are slightly less atrocious than his life choices. Barty dreams of epic quests and legendary fame, but mostly finds himself accidentally embroiled in schemes involving disgruntled goblins, overly enthusiastic orcs, and dungeons that are less 'ancient ruin' and more 'mildly inconvenient hole in the ground'. When a seemingly simple gig retrieving a 'slightly enchanted' teapot goes spectacularly wrong, Barty finds himself on the run from a surprisingly organized goblin horde and a suspiciously well-dressed dragon. Joined by a perpetually grumpy dwarf cleric who's allergic to healing and an elven rogue whose stealth is questionable at best, Barty must navigate treacherous landscapes, baffling riddles (mostly left by previous, equally confused adventurers), and his own crippling fear of heights (which is problematic when facing a dragon). This isn't your typical save-the-world quest; it's more about surviving the day, maybe scoring some decent loot, and trying very hard not to become dragon snacks or goblin fodder. Prepare for questionable heroism, unexpected allies, and a whole lot of rolling for initiative – and probably failing.
Chris Canipe is a devoted husband and father of three, who somehow finds time between family adventures to delve into worlds of fantasy and sci-fi. A lifelong gamer with a penchant for dark fantasy, Chris brings a unique blend of the epic and the absurd to his storytelling, often fueled by late-night video game sessions and the chaotic joy of family life.
