Elmira and the Streets

Synopsis

Smoke, an inmate nearing release from Elmira maximum-security prison, receives devastating news: his younger cousin, Sean, has been brutally murdered. This tragedy reignites a long-standing, violent rivalry between Smoke and Ace, a powerful street figure Smoke holds responsible for past losses, including the murder of his mentor and his aunt's boyfriend, which led to Smoke's incarceration. While Smoke is still confined, his hot-headed right-hand man and Sean's brother, Yayo, begins a brutal quest for immediate revenge, torturing and killing those he believes are connected. Simultaneously, two notorious stick-up kids, Savage and Easy, unaware of the larger conflict, rob and murder Loon, one of Ace's key lieutenants, adding another layer of chaos to the streets. Ace, reeling from Loon's death and dealing with internal issues (like the torture and murder of a traitor, Vance), uses his connections with a corrupt police detective, James, to navigate the fallout and plan his retaliation. The narrative follows these intersecting storylines, highlighting the harsh realities of prison life, the brutal code of the streets, and the cycle of violence fueled by loyalty, betrayal, and the pursuit of power and revenge, all building towards Smoke's eventual release and inevitable confrontation with Ace.
