Synopsis

In a cosmos where the primordial void birthed not light, but the First Ones – ancient, disparate demons tasked with ensuring the universe's negative equilibrium – humanity stands as the only true counterforce. For millennia, seven Echos, formless fragments of the world's origin, have sought human hosts, amplifying their hosts' deepest traits and wielding immense, if unseen, power. These Echos, like Fames, the embodiment of hunger, are eternal, passing from one mortal to another, forever intertwined with the fate of the world. Beneath the surface of human society lurk countless other monstrous entities, born from the abyssal depths of human despair. Among them are the Zehrer, vampiric energy-leeches who shun the sun but thrive in the shadows, their clans constantly vying for power, forming fragile alliances, and exploiting any weakness. Into this volatile world steps the Council, a clandestine organization of enlightened individuals dedicated to monitoring the Echos and monstrous factions. Their millennia of knowledge and global network are their greatest assets, yet their limited resources and the inherent secrecy of their targets – hosts who may be unaware of their own spectral passengers, and monstrous families intent on sabotage – make their task a precarious one.
