Synopsis

Tired of the predictable world of finance, stock trader Westly decides to inject some high-seas excitement into his family's vacation by booking a private pirate adventure. His wife, Merideth, a school teacher, and their two pirate-obsessed children, Todd and Britney, are ready for swashbuckling fun. However, their guide, the flamboyant Captain Rip, and his surprisingly articulate, foul-mouthed parrot, Scones, ensure that nothing goes according to plan. What begins as a simple themed excursion quickly devolves into a chaotic and hilarious string of miscommunications and unexpected shenanigans. From navigating baffling pirate slang to dealing with Scones' inappropriate vocabulary lessons for the kids, the Westly family finds their bonds tested and their patience stretched thin, all while discovering the true meaning of adventure (and maybe a few new curse words).
