The Bailey Tales is the storytelling home of Bailey, a small cream-white Shih Tzu, and the Bean, the toddler who became his best friend. What began as a few short films about a dog and a baby has grown into a community of over 320,000 families across Brazil, India, the United States and beyond, drawn to the same simple thing: the quiet, funny, fiercely loyal bond between a child and the dog who decided to look after him. These stories are written for the family read-aloud — the ten minutes before sleep when a small person wants one more. They are gentle without being soft, funny without being silly, and they take a toddler's feelings as seriously as a toddler does. Bailey never speaks. He doesn't need to. Everything he feels is in his ears, his eyes, and the particular way he sits down in front of a closed door and waits. Recurring themes: friendship that asks nothing back, small acts of bravery, mischief and its consequences, jealousy and its cure, and the comfort of an ordinary home at the end of the day.
