In 2023, his short story “Ctrl+Alt+Believe” won the Nigerian Prize for Fiction (Youth Category) and was featured on Brittle Paper’s “Best New African Voices” list. Hameed’s viral LinkedIn post, “Why My Mother Thinks I’m a Yahoo Boy Just Because I Code”, sparked national conversations about tech literacy and generational gaps. It was republished by Zikoko Citizen and shared by Nigeria’s Minister of Youth. He’s currently collaborating with Lagos Creative Collective to mentor teen writers from underserved communities. His screenplay “Gidi Gamers”—a gritty tale of grassroots esports—is in early talks with EbonyLife Studios.
