Mick Herron is a British novelist born in Newcastle upon Tyne. He studied English at Balliol College, Oxford. Herron is best known for his Slough House series, a darkly satirical spy thriller collection about a team of disgraced MI5 agents. His writing has earned widespread acclaim for its sharp wit, character depth, and realistic portrayal of espionage bureaucracy. Herron lives in Oxford and has been hailed as the modern heir to John le Carré.
