About the Author Abdulrahman Akanbi, CISSP, CISM, is a cybersecurity strategist, technology entrepreneur, researcher and CEO of Sycom Integrated Solutions. With more than two decades of experience in technology and cybersecurity, he works at the intersection of cyber defence, artificial intelligence, security architecture and emerging autonomous systems. He holds an MSc in Software and Systems Security from the University of Oxford and is currently completing a **PhD in Adaptive AI Security for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles**, researching how intelligent systems can defend themselves against evolving cyber threats. His work has increasingly moved beyond securing computers, networks and cloud environments to a more difficult question: **How do you secure a machine that can make decisions and act on its own?** That question is at the heart of *AI Agent Security*. Drawing from cybersecurity practice, academic research and enterprise technology, Abdul explores the new attack surface created when AI gains identity, memory, tools, permissions and autonomy. Because the next generation of cyber attacks may not target the systems humans operate. They may target the systems that operate on our behalf.
